The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized Sarah McKinley, Chelsea Anderson and Taylor Kelly as Students of The Month at its April 15 meeting.
McKinley, the daughter of Ed and Tammi McKinley of Ravensdale, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. A 4.0 grade-point student this year, McKinley is a National Honor Society member and the National Society for Honor Scholars. She is active in both the concert choir and drama programs, having participated in 13 productions while at the high school. She plans to attend a four-year school working toward a career in the theatre.
Anderson, the daughter of Phil and Kelli Anderson of Buckley, was the recipient from White River High School. Anderson is an active member of the Connections Program at White River, has served as a peer tutor with these students and also played on the volleyball team. She plans on attending Pacific Lutheran University this fall working toward a degree in special education.
Kelly, the daughter of Wayne and Denise Kelly of Bonney Lake, was the recipient for the Choice Program as part of the White River Alternative Programs. While a student in Choice, she has also been working toward her associate of arts degree through Green River Community College. Active in dance since she was young, she dances with the Westlake Dance Center. This fall she hopes to attend University of California at Los Angeles where her area of interests include journalism and writing. She also plans to continue to pursue dance at a professional level.
