Three candidates have applied for the Enumclaw School Board District Director Seat for Area No. 4 seat vacated by Gerd Weyer in August.

Craig Flintoff, Tim Nickson and former seat-holder Lorianne Taff were scheduled to meet with the school board for an informal orientation Monday and then begin the interview process in earnest at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Wednesday. All meetings are scheduled for the Enumclaw School District board room.

District Director Area No. 4 stretches from the area around Westwood Elementary School and Krain to Black Diamond.

According to a statement issued by the district, the four seated Board of Directors will interview each candidate individually. Following all three individual interviews the Board of Directors will move into executive session to review the attributes and characteristics of the candidates.

The board is expected to make a decision Wednesday night. That person will begin immediately and fill Weyer’s term through November 2011.

In August, Weyer, who was elected over incumbent Taff in November 2007, said he was resigning his seat to pursue other interests.
