ARREST WARRANTS: A traffic stop at 12:15 a.m. March 9 resulted in a passenger being taken into custody on four outstanding arrest warrants, one each from Auburn, Renton, Aberdeen and King County. The suspect was booked in Enumclaw, then turned over to Auburn authorities. The stop occurred near the intersection of Watson Street and Dickson Avenue.

DRUNK DRIVERS: A traffic stop at 1:48 a.m. March 9 on Watson Street resulted in a man being taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. He refused field sobriety tests at the scene. His vehicle was impounded.

A search for an assault suspect resulted in a traffic stop at 1:28 a.m. March 6 on Railroad Street. One person was taken into custody for assault and driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was impounded.

A traffic stop at 2:37 a.m. March 6 resulted in one person taken into custody for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was impounded and the suspect was later released to a sober driver.

A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 10:02 p.m. March 5 near the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Cole Street. The driver was taken to the police station for booking and the vehicle was impounded.

A traffic stop at 10:50 p.m. March 5 resulted in a person taken into custody and booked into the city jail for driving under the influence of alcohol. The vehicle was impounded and the suspect was later released to a friend.

NOT DRIVING: Local police received word at 2 a.m. March 9 from the Washington State Patrol of a possibly-intoxicated driver headed north on 284th Avenue Southeast. The vehicle was reportedly traveling very slow and swerving all over the road. Police spotted the vehicle just outside the city limits; it was parked in the roadway and the driver was outside the vehicle. It was determined the driver was highly intoxicated. The vehicle was moved from the roadway and the man was taken home by a sober driver.

INTERRUPTED: A McHugh Avenue resident told police the afternoon of March 9 unknown subjects had attempted to break in to his home the previous night. The suspects fled when the homeowner turned on the lights and there was no damage done to the home.

MALICIOUS: Police responded to a Chinook Avenue location at 10:13 p.m. March 9 after hearing of an explosion at a bank of electrical meters. Enumclaw Fire/District 28 was notified, along with Puget Sound Energy. Police returned later to take a malicious mischief report.

STOLEN VEHICLE: While on patrol the morning of March 8, an officer spotted a parked car on Florence Street and checked on the license plate. It was first determined the plate had been stolen in Tacoma; then, it was found the vehicle also had been stolen, also in Tacoma. The registered owner of the vehicle was notified.

SCHOOL ASSAULT: Police responded March 8 to Enumclaw High to speak with a student wishing to press charges against another student. Medical aid was declined. An officer contacted all involved and a suspect was arrested, booked and released to a parent.

THEFT FROM GARAGE: A Almodon Street resident told police a chain saw and generator had been stolen from his garage sometime during the past month.

DRUG CHARGE: A traffic stop at 1:50 a.m. March 7 resulted in a passenger taken into custody on a felony drug charge. The subject was treated at the scene by medical personnel for attempted ingestion of a controlled substance, then transported to the local jail.

ROLLING FIGHT: Police responded at 2:07 p.m. March 7 to a Griffin Avenue address after hearing that men exited a vehicle and began fighting. They departed before police arrived, but were found on state Route 410. Three men were found to be highly intoxicated and the female driver was attempting to get them home. They were told to stop arguing and leave the area. Thirty minutes later, they were found fighting again, this time on Warner Avenue. The man instigating the dispute was given a courtesy ride to Buckley.

CART THEFT: A traffic stop at 9:29 p.m. March 6 resulted in a passenger arrested for theft and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The suspect was taken to the police station for booking and the driver headed back to a local grocery store and returned a stolen shopping cart.

SHOPLIFTING: Police were told the evening of March 6 of a shoplifter leaving a Monroe Avenue business. A female suspect was found at her vehicle in the parking lot. An adult female was arrested and booked and her vehicle was impounded.

SUSPICIOUS: Police met March 5 with staff at the city swimming pool after hearing of a suspicious man who had been frequenting the pool on a regular basis. Officers advised staff to call if the man should return.

POSSESSION: A traffic stop at 5:38 p.m. March 5 resulted in a driver arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol. The underage subject was taken to the police station, booked and released.
