A March 17 public hearing will address a request to change the zoning for a pair of adjacent, Cole Street lots.
On behalf of Enumclaw Church of Christ, Howard Botts and Don Nitsche are asking to rezone lots at 1921 and 1931 Cole St. The lots are now zoned “central business” and “residential,” and the request is switch both to a “general office” designation.
The city of Enumclaw, as the lead agency addressing the request, has determined there would be no significant impacts stemming from the rezone. Therefore, an environmental impact statement is not required.
The city’s hearing examiner will host a public hearing on the proposal beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the 17th at City Hall, 1339 Griffin Ave. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m. March 10.
A public notice issued by the city adds: “The rezone/Comprehensive Plan Map amendment and subsequent development of this site will require a successful lot line adjustment or lot line elimination in order to allow for a future expansion of the church building.”
