Enumclaw’s traditional holiday parade will roll along Cole Street Saturday evening.
The parade is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will follow the usual course, moving through the heart of downtown before wrapping up at Stevenson Avenue.
The Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event will feature many of the traditional entries, along with some that haven’t appeared for a year or two. There will be a “Battle of the Bands” featuring high school marching bands from Enumclaw, White River and Sumner high schools. A new feature is being provided by the Washington State Patrol, which will enter some of its vintage patrol cars in the parade. Those who line Cole Street will also see entries from various Plateau businesses and civic group and, once again, Santa Claus will be part of the festivities.
This year’s grand marshal is Trip Hart, who has donated countless hours to a variety of community projects through the years.
Again this year, the parade is sponsored by Treat’s Heating and Cooling.
