Investigators were scheduled to return Friday to the scene of a house fire where a body was discovered among the charred remains.
The incident began Thursday afternoon at a home in the 1800 block of Loraine Street. According to various news reports, witnesses heard a couple of explosions about the time a blaze was spotted at the back of the property.
Firefighters snuffed the fire and, when they entered the home, found the body believed to be the resident.
Due to the reported explosions, investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are looking into the incident.
As of Thursday night, authorities had said nothing about the possible cause of the fire or explosions. Also, the deceased man had not been named.
