NOT IMPAIRED: Officers were asked Sept. 22 to look for a possibly-impaired driver in the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Farrelly Street. Police located and stopped the vehicle; the driver was not impaired but admitted to swerving out her land due to putting on makeup.

ASSAULT: A citizen arrived at the police station lobby Sept. 22 to report an assault that occurred earlier at Enumclaw High School.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Police received a complaint at 9:15 p.m. Sept. 22 from someone complaining about loud music coming from a Roosevelt Avenue business. After an officer made contact, the shutters and door were closed and the volume was reduced.

RECKLESS: Police heard Sept. 21 of a vehicle being driven recklessly from Semakski Street onto state Route 410. Police located the vehicle and advised the driver of the complaint.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: Police responded at 8 p.m. Sept. 21 to an Elmont Avenue address and a report of a domestic dispute in progress. They found a male arguing with his parents. A domestic violence checklist was signed and the male was instructed to stay in his room for the rest of the night.

INJURY ACCIDENT: While responding to another call Sept. 21, an officer witnessed a two-car injury accident at Roosevelt Avenue and state Route 410. One patient was taken by ambulance to Enumclaw Regional Hospital and both vehicles were towed.

DINE AND DASH: A Roosevelt Avenue restaurant was the scene Sept. 21 of a dine-and-dash theft by two males. The pair ordered food to be boxed, stepped outside for a smoke, then grabbed their food and ran.

JUVENILE TROUBLE: Police heard Sept. 21 of a group of juveniles gathering in front of a Griffin Avenue resident and apparently fighting. Just prior to an officer’s arrival, they jumped into a van. The group was located at Kibler Elementary School and the issue was settled.

INTOXICATED: A traffic stop at 2:07 a.m. Sept. 20 resulted in the driver being arrested and booked for driving under the influence. An additional charge of possession of marijuana was added. The automobile was impounded.

POSSESSION: A traffic stop at 7:51 a.m. Sept. 20 resulted in the motorist charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was impounded.

OUT OF CONTROL: Police responded shortly before 1 p.m. Sept 20 to a Griffin Avenue address after hearing of a man out of control. All parties were contacted and the man was taken into custody for malicious mischief.

JUVENILES FIGHTING: Four juveniles were seen fighting the afternoon of Sept. 20 at the intersection of Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street. All were contacted and a female was warned about sparking a verbal altercation.

STOLEN MAIL: A citizen arrived at the police station at 5:35 p.m. Sept. 20, delivering mail that had been found dumped along Southeast 408th Street. King County authorities were contacted and they asked the citizen to take the mail to the local post office.

WINDOWS SMASHED: Police responded at 9 p.m. Sept. 20 to the parking lot of a Roosevelt Avenue grocery store, where a man had smashed the windows of his ex-girlfriend’s car. There were no injuries. He was taken into custody for malicious mischief.

ON THE RUN: A local officer was called shortly before 2 a.m. Sept. 19 to help the Washington State Patrol and King County Sheriff’s Office locate a man who ran from a traffic stop. He was not immediately located. At approximately 4 p.m. he arrived at the Enumclaw police station to surrender. The State Patrol was contacted and the man was held until a trooper arrived.

DRUG CHARGES: Police were told the morning of Sept. 19 of subjects possibly smoking an illegal substance in McFarland Park. Police took two male juveniles into custody and eventually released them to parents. Three adults were booked on felony drug charges.

RESIDENTIAL BURLGARY: A Loraine Street resident arrived home Sept. 19 to find someone had broken into her apartment. A report was taken.

MULTIPLE CHARGES: A Sept. 18 traffic stop resulted in three subjects arrested and booked. Charges included possession of both drugs and drug paraphernalia, possession of a dangerous weapon and allowing an unlicensed person to drive.

HARASSMENT ALLEGED: A man told police Sept. 17 a former employer was attempting to extort money from him. An officer contacted both parties and explained the options regarding a disputed sum of money.
