Volunteers are crucial to success of all the events

The chamber staff wants to thank everyone who helped make the holiday season a great success.

The chamber staff wants to thank everyone who helped make the holiday season a great success.

To all of our parade participants for braving the cold and strong winds to be part of the Enumclaw’s 45th annual Christmas parade sponsored by Treat’s Heating and Cooling. You all definitely showed your holiday spirit with the beautiful lights, great music, amazing floats and designs. The Special Olympics won the Holiday Cheer Meister, Interwest Trucking won the Grinchiest Float that encompassed the whole theme of Whoville and Hy-Grass Farms won the Cindy Lou Who starring Sydney Gwerder.

We also want to thank Marcia Hopkins, Michelle Larson, Jody Horn, Martha Boston, Tim Pierick, Noelle Johnson, Mary Magalhaes and Sharon Fant who were all on the Christmas Committee for their planning and hard work.

The chamber staff wants to thank the Thomasson Family Farms for coordinating Santa’s sleigh along with Vicky Wenham and Steve Fant.

Last but not least we want to send out a special thank you to Steve and Sharon Fant, who spent hours creating and working Santa’s Village. They have helped us start a new Enumclaw holiday tradition and we are forever grateful.

Teresa and I want to thank the following people and businesses for volunteering their time, talent and monetary donations that helped make our holiday such a great success: Lori and George Noel, Madison and Kristin McCallum, Kathy and Tim Thomasson and family, Vicky Wenham, Kelvin Schipper, Ashley Nichols, Zach and Hunter Luedeke, Crescent Lodge for the Mile High Food Drive, Enumclaw’s Tots and Teens Toy Drive, city of Enumclaw, The Courier-Herald, Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership, Treat’s Heating and Cooling, Molen Orthodontics, Mutual of Enumclaw, Swerve Driving School, Enumclaw Self Storage, Fugate Ford, Chevron, Dr. Ryning, Art Gamblin Motors and John and Linda Wise.

The new year is going to explode with great events and ideas that will take us to the next level in 2011. Don’t miss the chamber member annual dinner on Jan. 20 that will kick off a year of amazing opportunities to get involved in our great community and build our businesses to be all that they can be.
