Spring Spirit Week is here! Show your school spirit and dress to the theme each day!
TODAY –Tuesday – Tacky Tourist Day: Break out the hats, socks & sandals, sunscreen, and fanny packs
Wednesday – Domino Day w/ a Dash of Pink: Black and white with some pink to support the “Legally Blonde” matinee
Thursday – Throwback Day: Pick your favorite decade or year and dress it up
Friday – Class Color Day & Pep Assembly: 12-black, 11-maroon, 10-gold, 9-white
Key Club meeting TODAY. We will be nominating officers. So, if you want to be an officer and be more involved next year, make sure to come. It is right after school in Mr. Ihde’s room. (#321)

The Blood Drive is TODAY.
Come build a muscle at the Hive. Donate a dollar and get your name on a clover and all proceeds will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Clovers are only a $1.00 and you will be helping a great cause while buying your favorite products at the Hive.
Oh My God You Guys! There will be a Spring Musical Matinee Performance of “Legally Blonde” TOMORROW during 1st and 2nd period. To attend, students need to bring a signed permission slip and $5 to the Auditorium. Permission slips can be picked up from the Activities Office. It’s going to be totally awesome! See you there!

Gymnastics Awards are Wednesday, March 20th at 7:00PM in the EHS Library.
EHS Robotics! The end of the season annual potluck and certificates awards night is Friday, March 22 from 7:00 to 8:00pm in room 603. (Please remember what you signed –up to bring.)
Pennies for Patients Fundraiser — put your pennies in the boxes until March 29th and then the boxes will disappear. Monies will go for cancer patients & research.
EHS Girls Basketball Awards will be on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 7:00PM in the Commons . Cake and refreshments will be served. Family and friends are all invited to celebrate our amazing season!

Are you interested in a career related to the sports industry (including writing, math, business, advertising, media, medicine and more)? Then come to the Sports and Entertainment Information and Career Fair on April 16 at 2:15 pm or April 17th at 3:15 pm at Cheney Stadium. Are you interested in a part time job? Do you like baseball and know the rules? Do you like helping out with younger kids? Have we got an opportunity for you. The Chinook Little League is looking for a few Young Adults to hire to be umpires through the spring baseball season. Please see Mr. Sando to get the information to sign up.

Counseling News/Career Center (room #147) this month:
The Local Scholarships are now available. Please go to documents in the career center swift website to access the scholarship list, or you can stop by the career or counseling center to pick up a copy. All applications are due the counseling center by April 10th.
Time is running out for AP Test Registration. The last day to register for AP Testing is Thursday, March 21st. There will be no late registrations accepted this year. Please bring your Registration Forms and payment to the Cashier’s office, prior to the end of day on Thursday, March 21st!! Don’t miss out on this great chance to receive college credit for all your hard work! Testing begins May 8th – May 17th. Testing will take place at JJ Smith. All students must ride the District provided transportation.
Are you a senior or junior who is undecided about what to do for your future? Have you thought about college, technical college, community college but don’t know where to start or who to talk to?
Come to the counseling center and pick up a permission form to attend GRCC’s College Planning Day, March 22. For those who don’t drive, there will be a free shuttle provided. Sign up in the counseling center if interested.
If you are a student who is interested in Running Start, there will be an information session at the Lindbloom Student Center at GRCC’s main campus on Tuesday, March 26th at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm, and Tuesday, April 30th at 5:30 pm.

Are you a student that would like to learn more about the fashion industry? Nordstrom is currently accepting applications for the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board for the 2013-14 school year. The Fashion Board covers a variety of topics including trend forecasting, advertising, marketing, buying, styling and the world of retail. The deadline to apply is April 15th, go to http://bit.ly/WN1fAE to apply.
CLUBS:
Native American /Alaskan Native Club meets monthly with no fees to participate. The group will learn leadership skills and participate in cultural events. If you have questions please see Cathy in the Counseling Center.
Spanish Club is a group that celebrates Hispanic and Latino culture and practices the use of the Spanish language. The club is organized and ran by student leaders in the University of Washington Spanish class. Spanish club meets once a month in Profa. Stewart’s room 141 from 2:45-3:45. Each month we learn and celebrate a topic related to Hispanic and/or Latino Heritage. This is great place to meet friends, earn culture credit points, and have a good time. Membership dues are $5.00 per semester. 2012/2013 dates: 3/14, 4/11, and 5/9.
Weight Club days and times for the winter season are now Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:00. Join today! Please pay the cashier $10.00 along with a signed weight club form. Please see Coach Gunderson with any questions or Coach Murrell (Stussy)
