Enumclaw

INFORMATION GIVEN

• A citizen called the police station at 2:18 a.m. Thursday, stating she had information regarding an ongoing Buckley Police Department investigation. She was referred to Buckley authorities, but continued to ask to speak to an officer, so she was transferred to a detective.

THREATS MADE

• The manager of a Griffin Avenue apartment complex called police the evening of Feb. 24, reporting a problem with a tenant. An officer responded and took a man into custody for making threats.

FAMILY MATTER

• Police were called the morning of Feb. 24 to a Battersby Avenue address to assist with a disorderly family member. An officer was able to calm the person.

NO LICENSE

• A traffic stop at 6:40 p.m. Feb. 24 near the intersection of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street resulted in a female being booked into the city jail for driving with a suspended licesne. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.

• A traffic stop at 2:14 a.m. Feb. 23 on Roosevelt Avenue resulted in one person booked into the city jail for driving without a valid license. The vehicle was impounded and, after posting bail, the driver was released.

• A traffic stop at 9:51 p.m. Feb. 23 on Garrett Street resulted in one person booked into the city jail for driving without a valid license. The vehicle was impounded and, after posting bail, the driver was released.

INTOXICATED

• A traffic stop at 10:27 p.m. Feb. 24 at the intersection of 244th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 466th Street resulted in a motorist arrested for driving under the influence. The driver was taken to the police station for booking and the vehicle was impounded.

CAR FIRE

• An officer was called at 7:13 a.m. Feb. 23 to 264th Avenue Southeast to provide traffic control and assist the local fire department and State Patrol with a car fire.

BEER HEIST

• Employees at a Monroe Avenue business notified police at 7:23 p.m. Feb. 23 of a shoplifting incident. Beer was taken from the store by two male subjects who departed in a green Honda. Police checked the area but found nothing.

WARRANT ARREST

• An officer met with Bonney Lake police the evening of Feb. 23 and took possession of a subject who was wanted on two outstanding warrants, one for failure to appear on an assault charge and one for failure to appear on a negligent driving charge. Total bail was $20,000.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF

• A resident of Sun Mountain Drive reported the evening of Feb. 23 someone ignited fireworks in a mailbox. Extra patrol of the area was requested.

DRIVER CHARGED

• A traffic stop just a few minutes after midnight Feb. 23 resulted in a driver taken into custody for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was left legally parked and the keys were turned over to a friend.

FIVE WARRANTS

• A corrections officer traveled Feb. 22 to the Regional Justice Center in Kent to pick up a subject with five outstanding arrest warrants issued by Enumclaw Municipal Court. Total bail was $25,000.

SUSPICIOUS

• Police were alerted Feb. 22 to a man posing as a CIA officer who had been to Black Diamond Elementary and Thunder Mountain Middle School.

NO SALE

• A caller told police Feb. 22 a subject was attempting to sell meat out of a truck. Police located the subject and advised of city regulations requiring a permit. Police received a similar call Thursday from a Lafromboise Street resident; contact was made and the door-to-door salesman agreed to stop.

PATIENT FOUND

• Police were asked Feb. 22 to locate a subject who had departed Enumclaw Regional Hospital without consent of the emergency room. Police found the man and returned him to the hospital, where he was secured by emergency room staff.

THEFT

• A Chinook Avenue resident notified police the morning of Feb. 21 of the theft of cash and a drill set.

• Police were told the afternoon of Feb. 21 that money had been stolen from a patient at a Jensen Street facility.

DISTURBANCE

• Police responded at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 21 to a disturbance at a Roosevelt Avenue address. One person was taken into custody and booked for disorderly conduct and obstruction.

• Police responded at 1:33 a.m. Feb. 21 to a disturbance at a Roosevelt Avenue address. Three people were taken into custody and booked for disorderly conduct, assault and ostruction.

FRAUD

• A money order was stolen Feb. 21 from a Semanski Street mailbox; it was altered, accounting for a $450 loss.

INJURY ACCIDENT

• A motorist ran into a parked car at 1:30 a.m. Feb. 21 in the vicinity of Kibler Avenue and James Street, causing extensive damage. The driver was cited for driving under the influence and a passenger sustained a head injury.

THREE CHARGES

• Police arrested a minor at 10:17 p.m. Feb. 20 for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The youth was released to a parent.

Buckley

LICENSE SUSPENDED

• At 9:53 p.m. on Feb. 23, an officer found the owner of a vehicle was driving with a suspended license while running a routine license plate check on Ryan Road. The officer observed that the driver matched the description of the registered owner and stopped the vehicle. The driver claimed he did not know his license was suspended. The officer saw what he described as “green vegetable matter” in the vehicle and cited the driver for marijuana possession as well as driving with a suspended license.

LEGEND DRUGS

• A 35-year-old man was arrested on Cedar Street for possession of a prescription drug at 10:39 p.m. Feb. 23 after he was found to have a stash of Alprazolam, a drug usually prescribed for moderate to severe panic attacks. The man was a transfer from another police agency. The drug, which was not in its prescribed container, was found in his property by a corrections officer during routine inventory.

MENTAL SUBJECT

• A 52-year-old woman was transported to the Enumclaw hospital for mental observations at 6:08 p.m. Feb. 24. Police conducted a welfare check at her temporary residence in the 29400 block of state Route 410 and deemed her unfit to take care of herself. The woman lives 60 miles away from Buckley. She said she has not been taking her medication for anxiety.

POSSESSION

• At 12:23 a.m. Feb. 27, an officer was working a DUI emphasis in Bonney Lake and Pierce County when he stopped a vehicle for a speed violation. The officer made contact with the male driver and determined he was in possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana and a glass smoking device. The driver was issued a notice of infraction, a criminal citation and released on the scene.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

• At 10:46 a.m. Feb. 27, an officer responded with Carbonado Fire on a report of a possible death by natural causes. Upon arrival, family members provided “do not resuscitate” paperwork. It was determined the subject had passed in his sleep and the medical examiner was called.
