Sean Packer of Lake Tapps and Quin Koplitz and Jordan Beals of Enumclaw competed in the 85th Washington State Men’s Amateur Championship at McCormick Woods Golf Course in Port Orchard June 20-23.

After four rounds of competition, Packer posted a first round 2-under par 70 for third and followed it with a 3-over par 75, a 2-over 74 and a 1-over 73 for 292 and seventh. Koplitz and Beals shot matching 232s for the three days. Beals finished up Thursday with a 73 for 305, while Koplitz shot 78 for 310.

All three made the cut-line, which came at a two-day total of 12-over par 156 with the lowest scoring 64 players continuing play in the final half of the championship.
