Four of the five Valley Wolfpack teams are heading to the championships Sunday at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. The schedule and times can be found at www.valleywolfpack.com.
The Wolfpack Midgets downed Puyallup 32-12. Standouts Keenen Jackson and Robert Combs each scored two touchdowns for the Wolfpack. The Wolfpack improved to 4-5 and is looking to even its win-loss record and repeat as champions, but first they need to knock off top seed Maple Valley, which beat them earlier this season 22-20.
The Wolfpack 89ers topped Maple Valley 13-0 in the first round of the Cascade Junior Football League playoffs. Carson Bohl and McKenna Ooley were able to pound the ball up the middle all day behind some great blocking by the offensive line. Defensively the 89ers played aggressive; solid tackling by key players on defense were Conner Filleau and Jon Geiger.
The Wolfpack Sweet Peas were victorious over Maple Valley 39-0. Tre Weed, Cody Miller and Cayman John put the ball in the end zone.
With the field a complete mud bog, the Bantams dealt Maple Valley a 25-6 loss. The offense built a 19-0 lead at halftime.
The Wolfpack Pee Wees’ season ended with a 32-6 loss to Maple Valley. Austin Barfied, Rylen Dunn, Christian Sanchez, Nick Farman, Tysen Fischlin, Luc Hubbard and T.J. Potts began their football careers as 89ers and graduted from the Wolfpack family Saturday.
