INVOLUNTARY COMMIT: A woman was reported to be yelling at passersby the morning of June 18. Police made contact and she was involuntarily committed to St. Elizabeth Hospital.
SHOPLIFT: Officers made contact at 5 a.m. June 17 with a employee of a Monroe Avenue business regarding a female who has attempted to shoplift multiple times. The store declined to file theft charges, but wanted the woman trespassed.
FLOWERS GONE: An Initial Avenue resident asked for additional police patrol June 17, after someone went onto her porch during the night and took off with a hanging basket valued at $200. She declined to file a theft report.
STOLEN, RETURNED: A vehicle was reported stolen the morning of June 17 from an Almadon Street address. It was recovered that night by Pierce County deputies and returned to its owner.
DRUGS FOUND: While booking a prisoner into jail June 17 on behalf of the state Department of Corrections, the prisoner was found to be in possession of drugs. Detectives were investigating.
