Time to make plans for Enumclaw Oktoberfest

Beer, brats, and lederhosen – Enumclaw Oktoberfest presale discount tickets will be available Thursday.

Get ready to celebrate the way the Bavarians do at the Enumclaw Expo Center for the third annual Oktoberfest, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

Presale tickets are available at Mail Express in Enumclaw, Firehouse Pub in Buckley, Schafer’s Bar and Grill in Sumner and 99 Bottles in Federal Way. Presale tickets are $10. Admission at the door will be $15.

Each ticket includes two-day event entry, a glass souvenir mug and two taste tickets.

The city of Enumclaw has partnered with the Firehouse Pub to bring a taste of the finest fall and Bavarian brews to the Plateau. With 24 taps, visitors are sure to find a couple of fall favorites. This is a 21-years-and-older event only and identification will be required for entry.

New to this year’s Oktoberfest festivities is the Pumpkin Classic, a 2.5-mile race taking place on Oct. 1.

Runners will compete in waves with up to 100 participants per wave. Waves will run every 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m. There will also be a junior race for ages 5 and older beginning at 9:30 a.m. The junior race will be 1-mile in distance and not timed. The course will consist of obstacles, mud, pumpkins and more.

Race participants 21 and older will receive admission to Oktoberfest with their race registration. Early registration ends Sept. 16. Early registration prices are as follows: 21 and older, $35; younger than 21, $25; junior race, $15. Late registration fees will be: 21 and older, $45; younger than 21, $35; junior race, $20.
