Enumclaw High’s baseball squad, which had already clinched the South Puget Sound League 3A title, played just one game last week, losing 8-3 Friday to Auburn Mountainview.

The second loss of the 2011 campaign to the Lions lowered Enumclaw’s league mark to 12-2, but did not affect when it will play its game at Auburn Mountainview High School Saturday in the subdistrict tournament.

The Hornets are scheduled to lock horns at 1 p.m. Saturday with the No. 1 seed out of the Seamount/Bremerton classification.

If the Hornets win, they will be done with subdistrict experience and will be declared the top seed heading into next weekend’s district contests. If EHS loses Saturday, it will be facing the SPSL 3A No. 2 seed at 7 p.m. that evening on the same diamond.
