BUCKLEY ASSIST

• An officer was dispatched to Buckley at 3:35 a.m. Jan. 4 to assist with a suicidal subject.

VEHICLE PROWL

• A city resident called police at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 4 to advise he had detained a subject he found inside his vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked for vehicle prowl and possession of burglary tools. It was discovered the suspect was wanted on a Seattle Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear on theft charges.

ITEMS STOLEN

• A Charwila Lane resident told police the morning of Jan. 4 items had been stolen from both his vehicle and carport. Taken were a bicycle and a gaming console.

THEFT FROM GARAGE

• A Wells Street resident notified police the afternoon of Jan. 4, reporting that items had been stolen from an unlocked garage. The victim said neighbors had been the target of the same crime the previous weekend. On behalf of area residents, the victim requested extra police patrol.

VEHICLE RECOVERED

• City residents told police Jan. 4 their recently-stolen vehicle had been located in the area of Washington Avenue and Wells Street. There some minor damage to the automobile and speakers were stolen. The owners regained possession.

TWO CHARGED

• Police investigated suspicious subjects Jan. 4 at an Initial Avenue location. One subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Black Diamond and another was arrested for possession of marijuana. Both were taken to the police station for booking. A third subject had left the scene before police arrived.

AUTO THEFT

• A vehicle was reported stolen from a Garrett Street location the morning of Jan. 2. It was seen at 7:45 a.m. in Maple Valley. There were no immediate suspects.

THREE ARRESTED

• An officer on patrol at 2:50 a.m. Jan. 1 ovserved a vehicle in a Griffin Avenue parking lot. Upon investigation, one adult and two uveniles were arested for alcohol offenses. The vehicle was impounded.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

• A Garfield Street resident contacted police Jan 1, complaining that a neighbor’s dog has become increasingly aggressive toward children. No contact was made with the dog owner. The caller was advised to contact King County Animal Control and call again if the dog confronted, or attacked, her or her children.

STORE THEFT

• Police heard from an employee of a Roosevelt store at 5:17 p.m. Jan. 1, concerning the theft of an alcoholic beverage. A known suspect was seen leaving the store on a bicycle. Officers made contact at the suspect’s residence. He was taken into custody and booked on a theft charge.

PROWLING

• Officers responded at 11:56 p.m. Jan. 1 to a report of an interrupted vehicle prowl at a Chinook Avenue address. Police contacted the theft victim, then learned the suspects had been located at Enumclaw Regional Hospital

INTOXICATED

• A traffic stop at 1:11 a.m. Dec. 31 resulted in a driver taken into custody and booked for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was released to a third party in lieu of being impounded.

THEFT

• Police heard from a local resident who said her roommate may have stolen several items of jewelry. A neighbor said the suspect had attempted to sell him jewelry. An investigation resulted in one person arrested for first-degree theft.

SUSPICIOUS

• A caller told police her was watching a neighbor’s house on Phillips Avenue and observed lights being turned on and off. No one was supposed to be in the home. Officers were provided entrance and found nothing out of the ordinary.
