GET HOME: Police spotted two juveniles walking in the Cole Street vicinity at 1:15 a.m. May 1. An officer contacted a parent who arrived at the scene to pick up the kids, who were supposed to be at home.

VEHICLE PROWL: Police responded the morning of April 30 to a reported vehicle prowl at the Enumclaw Aquatic Center. Damage was done to a passenger window and a purse containing $5 cash and credit cards was taken.

SKI THEFT: Police responded April 30 to a report of skis stolen off a car while it was parked in a Roosevelt Avenue parking lot.

HORSE TROUBLE: Officers responded to the vicinity of McHugh Avenue and Cole Street at 3:45 a.m. April 29 after hearing of two horses running loose. A nearby homeowner agreed to take in one of the animals until the owner could be located; the second horse was running loose, but was nearby.

JUVENILE ASSAULT: Police were told at 9 p.m. April 29 of an assault occurring between juvenile females. Both parties were contacted and the victim declined to press charges.

WEAPON OFFENSE: A report of a man with a firearm had police responding the afternoon of April 28 to a Harding Street address. It was determined the man was in possession of a pellet gun and he was booked for the unlawful display of a weapon.

AUTO MOVED: A Semanski Street resident notified police April 27, reporting her vehicle had been moved during the night to the other side of her parking lot. The vehicle was not locked and may have been an attempted theft that was interrupted. No damage was done.

HIT-AND-RUN: A vehicle parked on Pioneer Street was hit the morning of April 27. The suspect vehicle was driven away but was followed by a witness. The witness returned to provide police with a description.

DRUG CHARGES: At 12:48 a.m. April 26, police initiated a traffic stop in the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Fell Street. A passenger was arrested and booked for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver and another passenger were released.

DRUGS AND MONEY: A Watson Street resident called police the morning of April 26, reporting someone took medication and money from the home. The victim identified a potential suspect and simply wanted the incident documented.

YOUTH ASSAULT: Police responded to the area of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street the afternoon of April 26 after hearing of a juvenile subject by a group of juveniles. The victim was reportedly punched in the face. A suspect arrived at the police station a few hours later, was interviewed by an officer and was cited for fourth-degree assault before being released to a parent.

DANGEROUS DRIVER; Police learned April 26 of a man driving an older sedan through two stop signs, swerving across the road and traveling on the wrong side of the road. The driver was stopped in the vicinity of McHugh Avenue and agreed to cease driving, but took off. Information was forwarded to the Washington State Patrol and King County deputies. The driver’s residence on Southeast 432nd Street was checked but the vehicle was not there.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Police responded April 25 to an Almadon Street address where items had been taken from an automobile. Missing were a computer, GPS device and more.

CHILLD RECOVERY: Local police were contacted April 25 and asked to assist with the emergency removal of a 16-month-old child from a Chinook Avenue residence. The child was reportedly taken without permission by the father. The request, from Yakima County Superior Court, was that the child be found and turned over to the Department of Social and Health Services for overnight care. Police contacted the father’s family members, who reported he was staying in Seattle. The matter was forwarded to Seattle authorities.

DOMESTIC SITUATION: Police were called April 25 to a residence on 266th Avenue Southeast, where a domestic violence situation escalated into a man brandishing a shotgun. The female involved was able to escape the house unharmed. Officers assisted with monitoring the perimeter and took the subject into custody. The scene was turned over to county authorities for further investigation.

VEHICLE PROWL: Police were told April 24 of three Bathke Avenue addresses where someone had rummaged through vehicles during the early-morning hours. Three vehicles were targeted at one address, one vehicle at each of the other residences. None were reported damaged. A wallet was taken from one vehicle, nothing from the others. Extra police patrol was requested.

SCAM WORKS: Police were told April 24 of a man who entered a Roosevelt Avenue business, confused an employee who was making change and eventually departed with an extra $60. The suspect could not be located.

HARASSMENT: Officers responded to a Carbon Ridge Street address April 23 after a caller reported her ex-husband was outside her residence. The man was taken into custody and booked for harassment and driving with a suspended license. His vehicle was impounded.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Police were notified at 12:25 a.m. April 23 when a person used the public address system at a Roosevelt Avenue business to make racial slurs. The subject was advised to stop drinking for the night. In-house security was handling the matter.

TWO CHARGES: A traffic stop at 1 a.m. April 23 in the vicinity of Watson Street and Dickson Avenue resulted in one person being booked for possession of marijuana and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The driver and other passengers were released at the scene.

BAD IDEA: Police responded to the city skate park the afternoon of April 22 after hearing of two males throwing knives at a tree. The issue was settled upon police contact.

UNWANTED PERSON: A Warner Avenue resident notified police April 22 of an unwanted subject at the complex where the caller lives. The reporting party had, just that morning, obtained a no-contact order. All parties were contacted and the issue was settled.
