• Workforce Central is offering scholarships to pay for tuition, books, fees, supplies & limited living expenses for 18 and over Pierce County residents who are studying in an in-demand occupation, 2 quarters or fewer from graduating.  Must be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits or have exhausted these benefits or self-employed or displaced homemaker.  Up to $3,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Call 253-552-2545 for info.
• “What Built Buckley” information class is held every 2^nd Saturday at 11am at the Buckley Library.Discover the early history of Buckley through artifacts, photographs and stories with the Foothills Historical Society & Museum.  Free, no registration required.
