  • Workforce Central is offering scholarships to pay for tuition, books, fees, supplies & limited living expenses for 18 and over Pierce County residents who are studying in an in-demand occupation, 2 quarters or fewer from graduating.  Must be eligible for unemployment insurance benefits or have exhausted these benefits or self-employed or displaced homemaker.  Up to $3,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Call 253-552-2545 for info.
  • “What Built Buckley” information class is held every 2nd Saturday at 11am at the Buckley Library.Discover the early history of Buckley through artifacts, photographs and stories with the Foothills Historical Society & Museum.  Free, no registration required.
