Yesterday, Lake Tapps reached a level of 541.69 feet.
Cascade Water Alliance is currently allowing the reservoir to raise slowly with normal weather conditions and anticipate achieving a level of 542 feet by April 15 (recreational levels are 541.5 to 543 feet).
Cascade expects to begin actively filling the reservoir with water from the White River in early April .
The reservoir will remain between 542.0 and 542.3 feet for a few weeks and then it will be raised – as it is every year – to the maximum recreational level of 543′ for a day, likely around the middle of May.
The reservoir will then be lowered to approximately 542.6′ and maintained at a level of 542.5 to 542.8 feet through the fall, weather permitting.
