ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE: Officers were called March 12 to a report of an accidental gun discharge. The reporting party told officers he was cleaning his gun and accidentally pulled the trigger before completely clearing the gun. The bullet went through a love seat in the living room and into the floor. Officers went below to ask neighbors if there was any damage to the ceiling but did not find any. The reporting party asked officers to take gun and another as they were no longer wanted.

ASKED TO BE JAILED: On March 24 officers conducted a random security check at a Bonney Lake business. Officers were contacted by store employees about two suspicious males in the store. One of the males was thought to have been trespassed from the store, but he had already left. The other male was acting suspicious but it wasn’t until after he also left the store did loss prevention discover he stole a pair of shoes. Officers cleared the area and were called to another location for a welfare check. The subject, who was wearing little clothing and yelling that he wanted to be jailed, was the same male that stole the shoes from the store earlier. Officers determined the male was on an unknown narcotic and detained him in handcuffs. East Pierce Fire and Rescue came to the scene to evaluate the male. A record check revealed the male had a felony warrant, and he was booked at the Pierce County Jail.
