HIT AND RUN

• At approximately 11:59 p.m. Feb. 12, officers responded to a hit-and-run in the 6100 block of Parker Road. When officers arrived they located a damaged wooden fence. A taillight lens and a complete light assembly were located among the wreckage. A witness to the incident advised that the passenger in the vehicle entered a nearby apartment and the driver left the scene in the vehicle without stopping to provide information. The passenger was contacted by officers in the nearby apartment and she told officers somebody she did not know who was sent to pick her up by a friend hit the fence. She went to report it to the manager and when she came back he was gone. The suspect vehicle was located a block away. The light assembly recovered from the scene matched perfectly with the located suspect vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and he advised that he had sold the vehicle to the passenger that was contact earlier. Officers re-contacted the passenger who admitted her boyfriend was driving the vehicle when it crashed into the fence. Officers later contacted the boyfriend who admitted to driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. The driver was issued a citation for hit-and-run and the passenger was issued a citation for making a false statement to public servant.

PHONE THREATS

• At approximately 9:12 p.m. Feb. 11, a juvenile subject reported that another juvenile subject threatened her by phone. The victim reported that the subject said that she was going to bash her head into the pavement and that she would come to her house and beat up her mom. Harassment charges were forwarded to the Pierce County Juvenile Court.

PELLET GUN

• At approximately 3:45 a.m. Feb. 8, officers were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress in the 1800 block of 16th Street. The reporting party advised he was awakened by the sound of breaking glass, but did not see anything. A witness told communications the suspect was seen running up the street. Upon arrival, officers were met by the victims and witnesses. One of the victims advised that he was almost shot while standing on the balcony of his friend’s apartment. The projectile flew by him and hit the glass door behind him. Officers determined the window was shot with a pellet gun. Officers conducted a search of the area with negative results. The victim said he recognized the suspect and has seen him at the location before. A neighbor was able to identify the suspect and assault charges were forwarded to the Pierce County prosecutors office.

Bonney Lake

OPEN CONTAINER

• At 9:41 p.m. Feb. 17, police saw a vehicle in the 10300 block of 214th Avenue East with a modified exhaust system. When police stopped the vehicle, the officer noticed the scent of marijuana coming from the car. The passenger gave the officer a marijuana pipe while the officer was questioning the driver, a 25-year-old male. The driver gave the officer a verbal consent to search the vehicle and police discovered a half-full bottle of beer between the driver’s seat and the door. The driver was issued a criminal citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container of alcohol in the car.

DV ASSAULT

• At 1:19 p.m. Feb. 14, police responded to a report of domestic assault on 192nd Avenue. The female victim requested police contact at the police station. The female victim stated she was not getting along lately with her boyfriend. The couple have twin 2-month-old babies at home and she said she became upset earlier and threw pictures on the floor and her boyfriend then picked her up and threw her against a wall. The victim had a bruise on her arm and said she hurt her head. The officer was given consent to search the residence after smelling the odor of marijuana and discovered drug paraphernalia and marijuana stems. The boyfriend was transported to the Buckley jail and booked for assault and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF

• At 10:55 p.m. Feb. 13, police responded to a report of malicious mischief at an 182 Avenue address. A vehicle apparently struck a mail box across the street from the home of the reporting party.

NO-CONTACT VIOLATION

• At 8:07 a.m. Feb. 14, police resonded to a residence on 94th Street East for a report of a no-contact order violation. The reporting party and protected person stated his ex-wife came to his residence and demanded he give her a child seat belonging to one of their kids. The ex-wife allegedly yelled at him, threatened him and threw a cell phone at him. The woman did not pick up her phone when police called her, but did call her ex-husband while police were at his house and asked why they were there. The report was forwarded to the Bonney Lake Prosecutor.
