Dressed in black and red in support of Marysville Pilchuck High School following Friday’s school shooting, the Sumner Spartans and Bonney Lake Panthers played each other in the Sunset Bowl.

Despite both teams entering the game with a 1-4 conference record, the Sumner Spartans dominated the rivalry game.

Sumner beat Bonney Lake 42-7.

The Panthers’ only score of the game came late in the game in the fourth quarter.

Sumner finishes the regular season hosting Auburn Riverside at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Bonney Lake travels to Peninsula to play the Seahawks in the final regular season game at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

With the win, Sumner improved to 2-4 in conference play and 4-4 overall. Bonney Lake fell to 1-5 in conference play and 2-6 overall.
