The following are results from Tuesday’s primary election. The two two vote-getters in each race advance to November’s general election.

Pam Roach: 5,815, 40.65 percent
Matt Richardson, 3,188, 22.29 percent
Ron Weigelt, 2,897, 20.25 percent
Raymond Bunk, 2,405, 16.81 percent

Cathy Dahlquist, 5,134, 36.51 percent
Peggy Levesque, 4,541, 32.30 percent
Shawn Bunney, 4,386, 31.19 percent
State Representative, Position 2
Christopher Hurst, 8,008, 58.44 percent
Patrick Reed, 4,282, 31.25
Daniel Geske, 1,414, 10.32 percent
Voters on the Pierce County side of the line also determined who they would like to see in the District 1 seat on the Pierce County Council. The seat was vacant, as Shawn Bunney could not run again due to term limits. Advancing to November were Dan Roach with 51 percent of the vote and Pat McElligott with 34 percent.
In another race of local interest, Dave Reichert earned 48 percent of the vote in his bid to retain his District 8 seat in Congress. His November opponent will be Democrat Suzan DelBene, who received 26 percent. There were nine candidates in the field.
