Drug abuse expert will speak at 20th annual Community Summit

The 20th Annual Community Summit, hosted by the Sumner/Bonney Lake Communities for Families Coalition, will be held March 21 at Bonney Lake High School.

The 20th Annual Community Summit, hosted by the Sumner/Bonney Lake Communities for Families Coalition, will be held March 21 at Bonney Lake High School.

The theme for 2013 is “Igniting Positive Change.” As always, the summit will consist of a pre-summit session at 3 p.m., breakout sessions at 5 p.m., keynote speech with complimentary dinner at 6 p.m., and the Unsung Hero awards for community leaders whom aren’t normally in the limelight.

The pre-summit session will focus on how to incorporate daily physical activity into busy schedules.

Breakout sessions will focus on making good choices, personal safety, social media, youth and community businesses.

The keynote speech will be given by motivational speaker and drug abuse expert Monte Stiles.
