Bonney Lake police are investigating a pair of Jan. 11 mail thefts involving what may be the same suspect vehicle.

The first incident occurred in the 18700 block of 80th Street East while the second occurred less than a mile away in the 8200 block of 179th Avenue East.

Police were dispatched to the first incident at approximately 11:30 a.m. The reporting party told police she saw a white, four-door passenger car occupied by four white males in their 20s stop in front of her mailbox. One person reached out of the passenger side of the car and removed the mail, placing the junk mail back in the box before driving east on 80th.

The second call came at approximately 4:50 p.m. In that incident, the reporting party told police she saw a white car pull up to her mailbox, remove her mail and speed off.

Police believe the two incidents could be related because of the proximity of the crimes.
