A complaint has been filed against Arrow One, LLC. d/b/a Arrow One Lending with the Washington State Department of Financial Institutions (DFI). The entity operates as an online tribal payday lender but is not registered to do so in the state of Washington.

Arrow One, LLC. is owned by the lipay Nation of Santa Ysabel, California and maintains they aren’t subject to regulation by DFI.

Washington state law states in RCW 31.45.105(1)(d) and (3) that loans made to Washington residents by an unlicensed entity are not enforceable or collectible.

The federal Fair Debt Collections Practices Act states debt collectors must send written notice within five days of the first attempt to collect a debt by phone. The notice is required to state the debt amount and how it was acquired. Debt collectors cannot harass consumers or contact their place of employment.

DFI strongly discourages acquiring loans from companies that aren’t properly licensed to provide them. Consumers can verify a lender’s license by utilizing the “Verify a License” tool on DFI’s website.

For more information about reporting suspicious activity and unlicensed lenders, please contact DFI by phone at 1-877-746-4334.
