Sumner High’s girls track and field team defeated the White River Hornets 104.5 – 44.5 Thursday at home.
Spartans took first place in the 100-meter dash, 400 dash, 800 dash, 1600 dash, 3200 dash, 300-meter hurdles, 4-by-100 relay, 4-by-200 relay, 4-by-400 relay, discus, javelin, pole vault and long jump.
Junior Kaitlyn Shearer won the 100 dash in 13.43 seconds.
Sophomore Alyssa Murray beat the 400 dash in 1 minute, 1.67 seconds. Murray beat the 1600 dash in 5:26.45.
Senior Natasha Wilson won the 800 dash in 2:29.55.
Junior Abi Hensler won the 3200 dash in 11:59.91.
Senior McKenna Woodworth jumped the 300-meter hurdles in 48.07 seconds.
The 4-by-100 team of Amanda Riley, Woodworth, Shearer and Jessica Cleminson won the race in 52.41 seconds.
The 4-by-200 team of Kelsie Colman, Wilson, Alexa Daninger and Shearer won the race in 1:51.65.
The 4-by-400 team of Rachel Stowell, Bailey Thomsen, Murray and Hensler won the race in 4:18.50.
Sophomore Khenya Dean tossed the discus 98 feet, 9 inches.
Sophomore ALexandra Espinda threw the javelin 103 feet, 5 inches.
Junior Kimi Nakayama jumped the pole vault to a height of 8 feet, 6 inches.
Sophomore Emma Gibson leaped 14 feet, 10 inches on the long jump.
The Lady Spartans went undefeated during the regular South Puget Sound League 2A season, earning no fewer than 100 points each meet.
