The Bonney Lake High boys soccer team moved to 0-2-1 on the young season with a 2-2 tie March 24 against White River.

The game, played in Buckley, saw the Panthers’ JD Walter scoring in the sixth minute, giving Bonney Lake a lead it held until the second half. In the 52nd minute, White River’s Jake Dedge scored off a Zach Welch assist, tying the game. The Hornets took the lead at 66 minutes when Morris found the net, courtesy of a Diego Pelayo assist, but Walter scored his second goal of the game just a minute later to bring the final 2-2 tally.

While both teams are in the South Puget Sound League 3A, this first meeting is considered nonleague.
