The Seattle National Weather Service has issued a flood watch warning for northwest and west-central Washington counties.

This includes Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Mason, Skagit, Whatcom, King, Pierce, Lewis, Snohomish and Thurston.

Heavy rains are expected to fall on the Olympics and Cascades early Saturday morning. As much as 11 inches of rain has already fallen on the Olympics.

Another two to five inches of rain is possible today.

This means rivers coming off the Olympics and the Cascades are at risk for flooding.

Rain is expected to taper off significantly Saturday morning.

The flood watch is active through Sunday morning.
