Sumner School District’s “Beyond High School” night displays post-grad options

Sumner school district’s Beyond High School Night will be hosted by Bonney Lake High School Thursday, Nov. 4. Representatives of two-year colleges, four-year colleges, vocational schools, technical schools, the armed services and career alternatives will be present.

The representatives will be attending booths in the commons area of the school for the entire run of the evening, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Three breakout sessions will run concurrently with the booth exhibition, at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. Topics covered will include Financial Aid, Scholarships, SAT/ACT test prep and information about college athletics/NCAA. All sessions will run simultaneously each of the three periods.

“This is just something we do every year for our high school students so they know what’s out there,” District Spokeswoman Ann Cook said. “They’ll be able to learn about financial planning, planning a transcript, filling out a resume. It will have a broad range of things for students to consider.”

Bonney Lake High School is located at 10920 199th Ave Ct E in Bonney Lake.
