The Sumner baseball team defeated Clover Park 11-0 Monday in conference play.

The Spartans took their first run in the third inning, racked up seven in the fourth, and three more in the sixth.

Tysen Fischlin, taking home 3-RBI, went to bat four times and connected twice. He ran to home base once.

Chase Torgison, 1-RBI, went to bat four times, connected three times, and ran to home twice.

On the pitcher’s mound, Logan Christensen pitched two innings and struck out Clover Park five times.

The Spartans were scheduled to play Clover Park again Tuesday.
