Kama’aina Thoroughbreds’ Madam Pele won a six-furlong allowance by 2 1/2 lengths at Turf Paradise on February 8. It was the third win for the four-year-old daughter of Salt Lake-Striking Scholar, by Smart Strike, and upped the Char Clark Thoroughbreds-bred filly’s earnings to $83,760.
Washington-bred Our Revolution won a 5 1/2-furlong maiden special weight race at Rillito on February 9. Bred by Rick and Debbie Pabst, the new three-year-old winner is a gelded son of Harbor the Gold out of the stakes-winning Free At Last mare Freedom March.
In her first 2014 start, Ron Crockett Inc.’s Spot On Babe went gate-to-wire to take a 5 1/2 furlong $12,500 claiming race at Golden Gate Fields on February13. Bred in Washington by Nina and Ron Hagen, it marked the second win in two starts for the four-year-old daughter of Tribal Rule out of the stakes-winning Free At Last mare Irene’s Bonus Baby who is trained by Frank Lucarelli.
