Arla Holzschuh is the new executive director of the Sumner Downtown Association.

Shelly Schlumpf, who leaves the position of executive director after five years, said she is thrilled with the decision.

“She is fabulous. She has almost 20 years of main street experience,” Schlumpf said.

Schlumpf said much of Holzschuh’s experience is in historic preservation, which is a major goal of Sumner.
