Local high school plays promise to frighten

Bonney Lake and Sumner high schools are gearing up for their upcoming plays, mysterious tales of murder most foul, both to be put on at Sumner Performing Arts Center.

Bonney Lake and Sumner high schools are gearing up for their upcoming plays, mysterious tales of murder most foul, both to be put on at Sumner Performing Arts Center.

“It Was a Dark and Stormy Night” will be performed by Bonney Lake High School drama Friday through Sunday. The play involves an unlikeable author, a renowned radio show and a murder that must be solved. Times for the performance are 10 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets will be $5 Friday only. All other shows are $6 for students and persons 65 years old and older, and $8 for adults.

“The Night of January 16th” will be performed by Sumner High School drama Nov. 18 through 20. The play is a courtroom murder mystery in which the jurors are the audience, and the audience literally determines the outcome of a staged trial. Showtimes are to be announced. Tickets are $6 for students and seniors, $8 for adults.
