Bonney Lake’s fastpitch softball team broke its early winning streak with a 12-1 loss to the Tahoma Bears in nonleague play Monday afternoon. The matchup against the South Puget Sound League 4A school was the fourth game of the Panthers’ preseason.
Kala Wells went to bat three times and connected twice, achieving a 1-RBI.
On the mound, Melissa Charron pitched six innings.
The Panthers are scheduled to play their first South Puget Sound League 3A game Tuesday afternoon, away against the Decatur Gators.
