HIT AND RUN: Shortly after 8 p.m. July 11, an officer was dispatched to a 2nd Street hit and run on an unspecified piece of unattended property. The officer took information from the victim and witnesses, establishing a suspect. The suspect was unreachable by phone, but the 41-year-old was later mailed a criminal citation.
EXPIRED REGISTRATION: At 2 a.m. July 13, an officer observed four vehicles—two autos, one camper and one trailer—parked in the city right of way on Dundass Avenue at North Edith Street. The two vehicles and trailer were blocking the sidewalk, and two of them had expired registration. The camper also had expired registration. The officer marked all four with warning stickers letting the owners know they had to correct their problems within two days.
DUI: At 3:39 a.m. July 14, a vehicle was stopped for speeding on state Route 410 at the Lower Cemetery. The driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and the passenger was placed under arrest for being a minor in possession of alcohol. Both were booked into jail and the vehicle was towed.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: A 49-year-old man was arrested for driving on a suspended license on the 27900 block of SR 410, 3:16 p.m. July 15. He was issued a notice of infraction and criminal citation, then released on location without incident.
DOG BITE: At 10:49 p.m. July 16, an officer was dispatched to South Cedar Street regarding a dog bite. The reporting person stated she wanted the bite documented and nothing more. The officer documented the bite and returned to normal duty.
ASSAULT: At 6:09 a.m. July 17, a 32-year-old from Buckley was charged with assault 4th degree, domestic violence and malicious mischief 3rd degree, domestic violence after he hit his girlfriend and broke her back door window. He fled on foot before officers arrived, but he was later found at the residence, arrested and held on $5,000 bail.
