This time, we’re reading The Boys in the Boat with the rest of the county!  Events in Sumner and across the County further help you explore the issues and ideas around the book, the local heroes of the book, crew, and the Great Depression.

Sumner Library Events include:

April 9 – Book Discussion-UW Crew Member, 7 pm

Puyallup’s Boy in the Boat | Puyallup Public Library

The Puyallup Historical Society presents a history of local boy and UW crew member George “Shorty” Hunt, Jr., including race memorabilia, photographs and film clips of the 1936 Olympic boat race. Cameo appearance by Hunt’s daughter, Kristin Cheney.
