WSU has given notice that the temporary recreational use of the WSU forest trails will end on June 1, 2015. As such, the public will no longer be allowed access to the trails on the WSU property along 214th Ave E.

In 2009 the City of Bonney Lake entered into a Development Agreement with Washington State University for the WSU Demonstration Forest property.

The agreement, in part provided for public temporary recreational use of the trails on the residentially designated property behind the Safeway complex that was retained in WSU ownership.

In keeping with the terms of the agreement WSU has given notice that the temporary recreational use of this property will end on June 1, 2015. As such, the public will no longer be allowed access to the trails on the WSU property along 214th Ave E.

Public access to Midtown Park property (generally behind the Fred Meyer complex) remains open and accessible for use.
