All suspects named in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
HARASSMENT: At 8:35 p.m. May 30, an officer was dispatched to Division Street regarding threats. On arrival, the patrolman contacted all parties involved for statements. The case was sent to the prosecutor for review.
BURGLARY: A 76-year-old man reported that at some time around May 27, an unknown offender entered his open shed and stole two leaf blowers.
RUNAWAY: On June 1, a 32-year-old mother reporter her 14-year-old daughter had run away from home.
LICENSE SUSPENDED: Shortly before 2 p.m. June 2, a patrol car stopped a vehicle because the registered owner came up as suspended. He was placed under arrest and released with a criminal citation.
MARIJUANA: At 9:35 a.m. June 2, an officer stopped a 20-year-old for a traffic infraction by Lower Cemetery Road. He was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. The man was arrested, cited and released.
MISSING PERSON: At 5 p.m. June 3, a 63-year-old man reported his 92-year-old mother missing from their home. She could not be found inside the residence. Additional personnel were called to assist the search, and the female was found unharmed in a wooded area about four hours after the initial report. Officers took her home to her son.
ASSAULT: Three fourth-degree assaults were reported at Rainier State School on June 3—a staff/client altercation, a client-on-client altercation, and a staff member who was witnessed pushing a client.
PROWL: A 46-year-old Buckley resident called police to report a check book stolen from a vehicle. A check had been cashed by the time the report was made.
