Oct. 2
Speeding with a Warrant: A motorcycle was stopped for speeding on Angeline Road. The driver had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into Enumclaw jail.
Multiple Warrants: A vehicle was pulled over for speeding on Angeline Road at about 8:40 p.m. The driver had no proof of insurance and three outstanding warrants, including a felony warrant for Theft 2 and Trafficking. She was booked into Pierce County Jail for the warrants and was also issued infractions for speeding and no proof insurance.
Oct. 3
Interrupted: Officers were dispatched to an interrupted home invasion on Church Lake Drive East. The reporting person said she was startled awake when two males attempted to enter the sliding glass door in her bedroom. She screamed and they fled off the property. Pierce County Sheriff deputies and Sumner Police Department assisted with containment efforts but nothing of evidentiary value was found.
Oct. 4
Vehicle Theft: An employee of a state Route 410 establishment reported the theft of her vehicle from the parking lot. An officer located the vehicle approximately a quarter mile away. No suspect information was available.
Theft from Vehicle: An officer responded to the report of a vehicle prowl in the parking lot of a store on Prairie Road East. The vehicle’s owner reported locking all the doors before exiting the vehicle but speculates the rear hatch may have been overlooked. Several items were stolen from the vehicle and no investigative leads were available.
Oct. 7
Under Construction: An officer was dispatched to a burglarized home. The home was under construction but had all exterior doors and locks in place. The garage man door had been forced open and several items were taken from the home. A women’s winter hat was found and booked into evidence. There was no suspect information available.
Altered Receipt: An SR 410 retail store reported a fraud incident at about 9:40 a.m. It was discovered that a Coinstar receipt, which was originally issued several days prior, was altered to reflect a much higher amount. The responding officer recorded video surveillance footage and advised employees to call 911 if the suspects return.
Theft from Vehicle: A person called to report her purse had been stolen from her vehicle while it was in the parking lot of an SR 410 retail store. The theft occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and noon. No suspect information was available.
Oct. 8
Identity Theft: A person called to report a fraudulent account had been opened in her name with Century Link. The matter was brought to her attention because the account was recently sent to collections. A case number was provided and the responding officer directed the victim to the BLPD lobby for more information on identity theft. He also suggested she conduct a precautionary credit check on herself.
Oct. 9
Shots Fired: At about 12:50 a.m., a person reported hearing three to five gunshots in the vicinity of her residence on 192nd Avenue East. During investigation, a neighbor concurred hearing the shots and showed the responding officer a shell casing, which was found in the roadway. The casing was booked into evidence but no suspect information was available.
