The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is launching a ‘Blue Heart’ video documentary series to illustrate the human side of law enforcement.

Each video features a different law enforcement or corrections deputy and provides an inside look into their daily lives at work and at home. Viewers will also learn about each deputy’s unique journey towards a career in law enforcement.

The first video features Deputy Jeff Papen, who currently serves the community as a School Resource Officer. In his video, Deputy Papen recalls an emotional and rewarding experience in his career when a senior class invited him to deliver the commencement address at graduation.

The ‘Blue Heart’ documentary series can be found on the Sheriff’s Department’s YouTube channel, and extended length videos will be available on the ‘Blue Heart’ YouTube channel. As new videos are released, they will also be posted on the department’s other social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
