Saturday, the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse in Sumner will host the Association of the United States Army’s ‘Salute to the Troops.’

The event will raise money for returning soldiers, and 80-to-100 percent of proceeds will benefit military families in Sumner and Puyallup. It will include free food, prize giveaways, children’s games, face painting and other activities.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse is located at 13608 Valley Avenue East.

The AUSA is an nonprofit advocacy group for men and women serving, or who have served, in the United States Army or National Guard in a military or civilian capacity.
