Puyallup luncheon welcomes speakers
The Puyallup-Sumner Chamber of Commerce has announced its lineup of guest speakers for its June and July events.
On Friday the organization will host Rep. Bruce Dammeier of the 25th District, and Linda Thomas, author of “Secrets of the South Sound Networking Queen,” at its monthly luncheon. The event will take place at the Best Western Park Plaza in Puyallup.
Reservations purchased by Thursday are $20. Tickets for $25 will be available at the door.
On June 26 the chamber will host a sales and marketing roundtable at the Holiday Inn Express in Sumner. Amy Hedin, an executive coach with HumanPoint, will be the featured guest speaker. Reservations for the $10 tickets can be placed through June 24. Same-day tickets are $15.
Sunny Kobe Cook will present “The upside to a down turn” during its July 10 luncheon at the Best Western Park Plaza in Puyallup.
Cook is a consultant, author, speaker and award-winning entrepreneur. Tickets purchased before Thursday are $20 and $25 thereafter.

WSU extension office cuts hours
Due to severe budget cuts, the Washington State University Pierce County Extension office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
WSU faculty, staff and some Pierce County staff, will be available by appointment only on Thursdays and Fridays. No support staff will be available to cover the front desk. This new schedule went into effect Monday.
Programs provided by the office include master gardeners, 4-H, nutrition, agriculture and the FARM Program. Additional information is available at http://pierce.wsu.edu.

Red Cross offers first-aid training
The Puyallup-Sumner Chamber of Commerce is hosting an American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Training Course from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chamber office June 24.
The cost is $65 per person and reservations are required by today, Wednesday.

Networking event to take place Thursday
The Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce will host a “business after hours” event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at American Family Insurance, 21230 state Route 410, Suite 130, in Bonney Lake.
