The Sumner girls tennis team defeated Franklin Pierce 4-1 at home Wednesday afternoon.

Individual scoring information was not immediately available.

The Hornets from Pierce County came out on top Friday night when Enumclaw High and White River squared off on the Expo Center pitch. The Buckley crew built a healthy lead but EHS rallied late, eventually falling on the short end of a 4-3 score.
