BURGLARY
• On Oct. 22 at 5:31 p.m. police responded to a report of a burglary at 96th Street East. The 58-year-old female victim told police a television and several sports memorabilia items were stolen from her residence between 8:45 a.m. and 5:31 p.m. Police noticed several cupboards and doors were open and the back bedroom window was broken.
PURSE SNATCHING
• On Oct. 22 at 4:45 p.m. police responded to a business for a report of a stolen purse. The 42-year-old female victim told police her purse was removed from her shopping cart while she was waiting for an employee. A review of the security video showed a woman leaving the store with the victim’s purse.
SECOND PURSE SNATCHING
• On Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. police responded to a report of a purse theft at Safeway. The 55-year-old victim told police her purse was in a cart while she was in the meat department. Video surveillance showed a white female taking the purse from the victim’s cart. This is the same person suspected of removing the purse from the other location the same day.
WARRANT
• On Oct. 23 at 10:45 p.m. a 54-year-old woman was arrested after a routine records check showed a warrant for her arrest out of the Kent Police Department. The woman was contacted by police because she was suspected of driving under the influence. The woman gave different names and dates of birth to police and appeared extremely intoxicated. She was transported and released to a Kent police officer for the warrant.
BOMB THREAT
• On Oct. 23 at 8:50 a.m. an officer at Bonney Lake High School was advised by the campus safety officer of a possible threat to bomb the school. Police were told a piece of paper was located on a Sumner School District bus by the driver. The paper said a bomb would explode at BLHS at noon on Oct. 30. Surveillance video from the bus was not available and there were no suspects. The principal told police she believed it was a hoax, but said the school may hold a fire drill at the date and time on the note. Police told BLHS to contact them immediately if they planned anything different for the day or if they needed police assistance.
