DELIVERING PIZZAS: Officers stopped a driver who was driving erratically on April 30. The male driver told officers they were delivering pizzas and denied recently drinking or smoking marijuana. Field sobriety tests revealed the driver was under the influence and the driver admitted to recently smoking marijuana. Officers arrested the driver, but the money for the deliveries was returned to the business to balance the registers.
STOLEN SHOTGUN: Officers were alerted to a possible burglary in progress May 2. Witnesses told officers of a strange car and two males who were walking around the home being burgled. Officers stopped a vehicle matching the description of the strange car and contacted the female driver. She didn’t have an ID, but the information she provided was enough for a record check to reveal she had a warrant out of Sumner. When officers arrested the woman, they found a credit card that was not in her name, but it wasn’t confirmed it came from the recent burglary. Officers were then alerted to a suspicious male in Bonney Lake who matched the description of one of the males walking around the house. The male had several warrants. A witness identified the man being one of the two walking around the house. Sumner PD eventually arrested the second male. The victim reported a stolen BB gun and shotgun and both were recovered. The car used in this situation was the same officers came across on May 1, when officers were called to investigate three suspicious males going through a woman’s purse.
