May 13
Found Property: A Bonney Lake resident turned over a loaded 9 mm handgun that was in their possession. A background check through multiple systems turned up no computer record. It was booked into the property room and nothing further was reported.
May 14
Warrant Arrest: Officers responded to 197th Avenue East on the report of two unknown subjects sleeping in a vehicle. One of the subjects was found to possess arrest warrants out of the Puyallup and Auburn police departments. She was arrested without incident.
Parking Problems: Officers responded to the report of an abandoned vehicle on 183rd Avenue East. The vehicle had been on the side of the road for about two months and displayed expired temporary plates. It was impounded by Cascade Towing and the current owner was unknown at the time of report.
May 15
Counterfeit Cash: A state Route 410 gas station clerk called to report a customer attempted to use a counterfeit bill. The subject claimed to be unaware the bill was counterfeit. It was confiscated by police and nothing further was reported.
Under the Influence: An officer pulled a vehicle over for driving the wrong way on SR 410. The driver was initially unresponsive to officer commands and was determined to be driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and booked into Enumclaw jail.
May 16
Identity Theft: A married couple reported an unknown person filed a tax return using their social security numbers. No suspect information was available at the time of report, but the victim speculates his information was obtained during a security breach at his place of business.
Marijuana Candy: The principal of a Bonney Lake school reported a student announced on social media that they were selling candy containing marijuana. The candy was confiscated, the juvenile’s parents were contacted and charges were forwarded to the Pierce County Juvenile Prosecutor.
Disorderly Conduct: A local campsite manager reported a domestic dispute in progress. The male subject, a previously convicted felon, was aggressive and uncooperative with officers and medics. He was arrested and issued criminal citations for two counts of attempted assault in the third degree, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
May 17
Domestic Violence: Officers responded to 68th Street East for a domestic dispute between two adult siblings. The brother left the scene before police were dispatched but arrived at the police department to report himself as a victim. He was determined to be the primary aggressor based on physical evidence and witness statements. He was arrested for assault and malicious mischief.
Reckless Driving: An officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Meyers Road and 81st Street East. The driver turned off the vehicle headlights and initially did not pull over. Upon contact, the driver was found to possess a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into Enumclaw jail.
May 18
Theft: A resident of South Island Drive East reported the theft of a boat motor. The boat had been parked inside a fenced, but unlocked, boat house. There was no suspect information available at the time of report.
Warrant: An officer recognized a pedestrian with an outstanding warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the subject was arrested without incident.
May 19
Warning: An officer observed two male subjects begin to fight in the street on Church Lake Drive. They were both given warnings and advised they would calm down and separate.
May 20
Warrant: An officer pulled a vehicle over because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. A computer check revealed the driver possess a warrant out of Sumner Police Department. He was issued an infraction for failure to wear a seatbelt and then transported to Sumner Police Department on his warrant.
Theft from Vehicle: A resident reported the theft of a spare pistol magazine from his unlocked vehicle. No suspect information was available at the time of report.
