Drivers should expect a series of total night closures next week on eastbound State Route 16 at South Union Avenue and the South Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16.
The closures will occur as crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation continue progress on the Interstate 5/SR 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project.
The eastbound SR 16 closures are required while crews remove temporary supports known as forms and falsework used during the construction process for two new on-ramps.
Two on-ramps from South Sprague Avenue to northbound and southbound I-5 are scheduled to open this July, which also marks the completion of major work on the project.
Closure details:
11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 9-12
1 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14.
