Washington online schools now enrolling grades K–12 for the 2014–2015 school year

Washington Virtual Academy, Insight School of Washington and iQ Academy-Washington are now accepting applications from students statewide for the 2014-2015 school year.

Washington Virtual Academy, Insight School of Washington and iQ Academy-Washington are now accepting applications from students statewide for the 2014-2015 school year. Both Insight and iQ schools are full-time, while Washington Virtual Academy offers full-time and part-time options. All schools are online public schools where students get individualized, effective instruction both online and offline with state-certified teachers and a mastery-based curriculum.

Each school is available to students statewide, tuition-free. Students work with an Individualized Learning Plan and the schools offer core subjects, electives and advanced learner programs, as well as frequent opportunities for socialization including clubs, community-based projects, and field trips.

Washington families are invited to learn more about online education by signing up for in-person and online information sessions being held across the state throughout spring and summer. Families will have the opportunity to learn about:

• Washington Virtual Academy: Available to students statewide in grades K-12 with full-time or part-time options. Washington Virtual Academy is a comprehensive, tuition-free public school program that prepares students to be college and career ready at graduation. k12.com/wava

• Insight School of Washington: A full-time, statewide, tuition-free, online school for grades 9-12, authorized by the Quillayute Valley School District. Insight School of Washington is an accredited school targeted for supporting struggling students as an alternative to traditional public schools and preparing them for graduation and beyond. wa.insightschools.net

• iQ Academy—Washington: A full-time, online, tuition-free, public school, available to students statewide in grades 6-12. iQ Academy, a program of the Evergreen School District, offers the individualized support students need to succeed. iqacademywa.com
