The city of Bonney Lake blog reported on August 12 that some area residents may be noticing discolored water due to algae bloom and increased mineral deposits. The city is currently using Tacoma water sources in certain areas, which comes from the Green River and is currently experiencing an increase in algae and minerals.

The water may look dirty, but it poses no health concerns, according to Tacoma Public Utilities.
